 Ka-22 "VINTOKRYL" Hoop

Ka-22 "VINTOKRYL" Hoop
This is the experimental rotor-winged paratroops carrier-and-transport aircraft combining the capabilities of a helicopter for the vertical take-off and landing with those of an airplane for the transportation performance. The size of the cargo hold is very close to that of the Antonov model-An-12 transport airplane. Eight world records for the altitude reached with the payload and for the speed were set on this rotorcraft; none of these records has been broken yet. The attained parameters are the speed of 356.3 km/h and the altitude of 2,000 m with the payload of 16,485 kg.
